In 2014 my partner and I visited Oludeniz for the first time. We had just taken the plunge and done the paraglide off Mount Babadag when he proposed at the bottom on Oludeniz Beach, after 15 years it was quite the shock. Whilst celebrating and getting over the shock, being congratulated by passers by etc, a gentleman approached me and put a business card in my hand for Oludeniz Beach Weddings. Later that evening we went for celebratory drinks at Jade Terrace and witnessed a beautiful wedding reception taking place. We'd always wanted to get married abroad so seeing these two things on the day we got engaged seemed like fate and we decided there and then that we would return in 2015 to do the deed and tie the knot.
As soon as we returned home we looked up Oludeniz Beach Weddings and we're pleased to find everything we needed to know right there on the website. We made some enquiries with them and they were more than happy to answer any queries we had. Booking was straightforward and went without a hitch, we were advised of what dates were available, how long we needed to be in Turkey prior to the wedding, and what was required of us legally prior to travel. We paid the deposit and began planning.
In the months prior to the wedding we were kept up to date via email of any developments, and were asked if there were any specific colour schemes required as they were updating their stock of sashes etc.
We were pleased to hear after booking that we were no longer required to travel into Antalya prior to the wedding to obtain the legal affidavit, and that we could obtain this ourselves in the UK and scan copies across ensuring we take the original with us to the pre-wedding meeting.
Despite me getting my days mixed up and missing the pre wedding meeting in Turkey, not my finest moment (!!), the team were so understanding and accommodating and fitted us in the following day. We took along our personal touches for the wedding and a book of ideas for flowers etc, and were so pleased with the meeting, the entire process down to the very last detail were discussed and explained and we felt so happy and excited for the big day at the end of the meeting. We met the florist and the hairdresser and discussed our ideas, it was great to put faces to names and to meet those involved in our big day. We were pleasantly surprised when we were taken down to the room containing all the decorations at sashes etc and were in our elements choosing the finishing touches, such a wide variety to choose from, lots more than expected!
We were then taken into Fethiye by a driver to sign some legal documents and were then returned to our hotel.
The following day my mum and I were collected and taken to the hairdressers in Ovacik where I had a hair and make up trial which was not included in the package price of the wedding, but is recommended and I'm glad I had the trial.
Then the wedding day was here!! Again on the day of the wedding myself and two bridesmaids were taken to the hairdressers where we had our hair and make up done for the ceremony, this was included in the wedding package price. We also paid extra to have manicures and the whole morning was such a lovely way to start the day, being pampered and looked after. The staff there could not do enough for us and went out of their way to make sure we were happy.
Meanwhile the groom and groomsmen were taken to the Sea Breeze Hotel for Traditional Turkish shaves and so they also enjoyed a bit of pampering.
After our treatments we were taken back to the hotel to finish getting ready. The coaches arrived for all of our guests, who happened to all be staying in one hotel and they were taken directly to the ceremony. All of our guests were very impressed with the service and of travel being included, no walking or getting taxis there, it was such a bonus that it was all taken care of especially in that heat.
The ceremony took place at the terrace of the Meri Resort Hotel and it was picture perfect. It had been decorated exactly how we had wanted it and the flowers for the centre piece, arch way and bouquets were beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting. The musicians that were playing were absolutely amazing and way exceeded our expectations.
The ceremony was well planned out and the translations etc were all very good. After the ceremony and photographs at Meri were were taken to Paradise Beach for sunset photos whilst the rest of our guests were taken to the reception venue. It was so magical to watch the sunset by ourselves as a newly married couple & the photographer captured some priceless moments. They were very good at directing our poses for the best shots!
Then we arrived at our reception venue at Jade Terrace and it looked beautiful, again picture perfect. The place had been set up and decorated exactly how we'd asked and hoped for. The food at Jade was out of this world with people now still commenting on how gorgeous their meals were. The first dance & speeches were announced and everyone knew what was happening, the organization of the whole day was brilliant, thanks to everyone involved.
Two days after our wedding we again went to meet with the Team and go through our beautiful wedding photos, it took a while and was a tough decision but we chose the ones we'd like printed for our album and also paid extra to have the entire photos on disc to take home. The photo album provided was stunning.
Our whole wedding really was perfect and for that we thank Oludeniz Beach Weddings, they made us feel relaxed, comfortable and excited and gave us the most amazing wedding day we could have hoped for. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering getting married in Oludeniz. We want to do it all again and we wouldn't change a single thing! Everyone who came have said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to and we'd be inclined to agree :) Thanks again
